PLUS＆MINUS是一款以加減法為概念設計的飛機餐盤，對傳統飛機餐盤進行了改進，以減少一次性垃圾的存在，並增加乘客在旅途中的舒適度。減去視覺上和心理的不適，增加使用上的安全性，提升乘客在飛行過程中的五感體驗，朝航空服務當前的趨勢跟進。

PLUS & MINUS is an airplane meal tray designed with the concept of addition and subtraction. It has been improved compared to traditional airplane meal trays to reduce the presence of disposable waste and enhance passenger comfort during the journey. By subtracting visual and psychological discomfort and adding safety in usage, it aims to elevate the overall sensory experience for passengers during flights, aligning with current trends in aviation services.

Design Research

傳統飛機餐盤的設計雖然能簡單堆疊收納，但是如果遇到亂流的情況時，飲品與餐點很有可能會翻倒，在飛機上時空姐也很不好處理問題。

根據訪問身邊有在飛機上用餐過的同學，以及觀看多位Youtober開箱經濟艙飛機餐的過程，觀察到因為飛機餐的情況特殊所以會使用到很多一次性包裝，通常有保護餐點衛生的鋁箔、塑膠套、衛生紙、果醬膜等等，然而用餐空間又很狹小，許多乘客在用餐時都需要將包裝垃圾塞到夾縫或隨意亂放，不只桌面髒亂甚至會掉到地上，視覺上和心理的不適還會降低在享用餐點時的興致。

While the design of traditional airplane meal trays allows for simple stacking and storage, it poses a challenge during turbulence. In turbulent conditions, there is a high likelihood of beverages and meals tipping over, presenting difficulties for flight attendants to manage the situation in-flight.

Based on interviews with classmates who have dined on airplanes and observations of several YouTubers unboxing economy class airplane meals, it is noted that the unique circumstances of airplane meals often involve the use of numerous disposable packaging. These typically include aluminum foils, plastic wraps, tissues, fruit sauce seals, and more, aimed at maintaining the hygiene of the meals. However, the dining space is quite cramped, leading many passengers to awkwardly stuff packaging waste into gaps or place it randomly. This not only results in a messy tabletop but may also lead to items falling to the floor. The visual and psychological discomfort caused by this situation diminishes the overall enjoyment of the meal.
